Greatest Ray Memory - I played with Ray and Carl VanDusseldorp in one of the first years of the tournament. They both went in the water on 8 on the old front nine and put the pressure on their C - me - to put it over. I don't even remember where it landed, but I remember Ray picking me up and spinning me around when it went over - He was soooo excited (must not have had too high of expectations :-) It was his favorite story of the weekend. I looked up to him for as long as I can remember and it felt great to be his hero for one day! I think it was one of the few years I won some $$$ - definitely a favorite team.

The story gets more interesting... Tami and I were both pregnant (for Rich and Alyssa) the year we lost Kirk. It's kind of interesting, in the 20th year, Rich and I were drawn on the same team; then he and our partner both went in the water on the same hole Sunday and needed me to put it over. I had told Rich about this blog so naturally he had to pick me up and spin me around as soon as my ball landed on dry ground. The team we played with did the same thing; A & B in the water, C puts it over, A spin's C around... Now several of us have a fun memory about this lousy water hole - and I have a feeling that Ray knows all about it :-)
